Pre-Apprenticeship Program for Women.
North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters is offering a grant funded Sisters in the Brotherhood Pre-Apprentice Program for women. This is a fantastic opportunity for women who currently have little or no construction experience, but are looking to come into the Carpenters Union whether directly after graduation from high school or as a second career.
The pre-apprentice program will be held in July at training centers throughout NYS, in compliance with COVID safety regulations. The pre-apprentice program is a four-week program for women, that can directly lead into our five-year carpentry apprenticeship program. This year, due to COVID, we will be holding virtual informational sessions on March 8th, April 12th, and May 10th at 6pm. Registration will close a week prior to the informational session date. Candidates will be required to attend one informational session to qualify for the program. The application process starts by registering for one of these informational sessional, that is the key.
