Carpenter

A family oriented, owned, and operated Construction Company located in Oneida is growing.  Currently, we are looking to hire a full time Carpenter.

We specialize in residential and commercial building construction, with many other interesting facets to  our company.

Minimum Requirements: Applicant must have a valid drivers license and adequate transportation and must possess a neat and clean appearance. Selected candidates must possess a dedication to the team, the company, and our clients, as well as a positive working attitude and problem solving skills. 

In addition, the candidate must have their own tools of the building trade, along with knowledge of all phases of construction carpentry.  Other knowledge including electrical and plumbing is appreciated and compensated for. Need to be comfortable, working in a fast pace environment.

Laborers

Elite Concrete and Construction Inc is hiring for Laborers for their precast manufacturing plant in Chittenango.  The selected candidate would utilize a forklift, pour concrete, load trucks, strip and clean forms of concrete products, operate a loader, work on equipment, stock yard, provide yard maintenance, assist customers, assist customers with loading product and clean the shop.  Please note, the job duties are performed indoor and outdoor regardless of weather conditions. 

Physical requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. Must be able to stand, bend, and walk for periods of time. Must be able to work in cold and hot weather.  

Hours are 730am-330pm or 7am-4pm, Monday thru Friday.  

Rate of pay is $16.00-$18.00 per hour based upon experience.

CDL A or B Drivers

Elite Concrete and Construction Inc is hiring for CDL A or B Drivers to work at their facility in Chittenango.  The selected candidate would operate dump trucks, volumetric mixer trucks and delivery trucks.  Must be able to load trucks.  Candidate will be responsible for truck maintenance and equipment maintenance.

Physical requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. Must be able to stand, bend, and walk for periods of time. 

Minimum requirements: Must possess a valid NYS CDL A or B License. 

Hours are 7am-4pm, Monday thru Saturday.  Trainees may be acceptable. 

Rate of pay is $18.00-$20.00 per hour based upon experience.

Housekeeper

Ralston Supply Center located in Canastota is seeking laborers to work at their facility. 

Minimum requirements: The selected candidates must be able to lift, stand for long periods of time, squat, bend, etc.  in order to put up tents, tables and other equipment. Must be able to work flexible hours to include weekends as needed.  Valid drivers license is preferred in order to drive a box truck from the warehouse to the site location.

Cook

Morrisville Auxiliary Corporation is seeking a Cook II to work at their facility.  The Cook II must have demonstrated experience with various culinary techniques, methods, and competencies; possess the ability to successfully plan, coordinate and prepare Food Service menu items at assigned locations, with strong emphasis on quality while maintaining Company and Food Service standards.  

Essential functions:

-Prepares a variety of foods, meat, seafood, poultry, vegetable and cold food items

-Supervises and coordinates work of subordinate cooks and other production staff as assigned

-Plans for the timely and proper use of any leftover items

-Ensures the recipes are followed and when necessary, converted correctly

-Opens and closes the kitchen using established protocols

-Reviews menu items, production plans, and job assignments necessary to coordinate the production of all menu items

-Adheres to proper food handling techniques and properly balance time use, material and equipment to avoid unnecessary expense and waste

-Follows procedures for the proper storage of leftover food and potentially hazardous food items

-Performs checks and logs temperature on all refrigerators and freezers

-Ensures departmental standards are met about product quality and presentation

-Ensures that area follows all applicable sanitary codes or standards

-Tests the temperature of food at specified intervals

-Safely operates large-volume cooking equipment

-A minimum 3-5 years' experience in the food service industry

-Must be able to read and write, with knowledge of basic math

Facilities Technician

Morrisville Auxiliary Corporation is seeking an IcePlex Facilities Technician.  Under the supervision of the Associate Director IcePlex, the Facilities Technician is responsible for the repairs and general maintenance of all facilities and associated equipment including but not limited to ice re-surfacer, dasher boards, and glass.  Additionally, the Technician will assess and consider the safety of staff, guests, students, and Company and/or College assets.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

-Executes maintenance and repairs for all items assigned by the Associate Director, including but not limited to ice re-surfacer, edger, floor machine, snow removal equipment, plumbing, and carpentry, electrical and other various mechanical

-Maintains corporate equipment including repairs and preventative maintenance

-Works with contractors to ensure quality work and building maintenance

-Provide daily ice maintenance using the ice edger, chopper, and ice resurfacing machines

-Provides supervision to maintain the building, equipment, and ice

-Ensures regulatory standards are met concerning the storage and use of cleaning supplies and chemicals

-Provides daily opening and closing procedures, ensuring that all areas of the building are properly cleaned, resupplied, and secured

-Maintain proper temperature controls of the ice

-Sharpen skates and repairs rental skates

-Responsible for covering specified shifts of the pro-shop and Public Skate. Including but not limited to perform the duties of the salesclerk, responsible for cash drawer, receipts, and deposits and drop safe

-Assists with maintaining supplies & equipment necessary for the job

-Maintain daily logs for all preventative maintenance to minimize production loss time and maximize preventative maintenance effectiveness

-Assists Management in preparing the annual Maintenance budget

-Maintains accurate records and logs on all facility/utility maintenance activities

-Snow and ice removal, as assigned

-Available to work weekends and holidays as scheduled

-Performs other duties as assigned

-Previous maintenance experience is a must

Custodian

Morrisville Auxiliary Corporation is hiring a Custodian to work at their IcePlex. The job of Iceplex Custodian is to maintain high standard of cleanliness in the Iceplex.  When directed the Custodian will provide support to the Technicians, who are responsible for the repairs and general maintenance of all facilities and associated equipment.  Additionally, the Custodian will consider the safety of staff, guests, students, and Company and/or College assets.

-Assures those proper procedures are followed for cleaning and maintaining the lobby, locker rooms, and restrooms according to checklist

-Provides daily building opening and closing procedures, ensuring that all areas of the building are properly cleaned, resupplied, and secured

-Sharpen skates and repairs rental skates

-Assists with setups for special functions

-Responsible for covering specified shifts in the Pro Shop.  Including but not limit performing duties of salesclerk, responsibility for cash drawer, receipts and deposits

-Performs other duties as assigned by the IcePlex Maintenance Supervisor

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School graduate or equivalent; previous janitorial experience and familiarity with general maintenance procedures, tools and/or equipment

PHYSICAL CONDITIONS AND DEMANDS

Be able to work in extreme temperatures and tight quarters; this is a strenuous job that requires climbing, pushing/pulling, and frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.; nights and weekends are required. This employee may need to work split shifts, night hours or weekends, to cover as needed.

Maintenance Person

Prime Materials located in Canastota NY is seeking a full time Maintenance person to work in their facility.  The selected candidate would be responsible for machine maintenance, building maintenance, etc. 

Position pays $18.00/hr.

Minimum requirements: The selected candidate must have experience with machinery and building maintenance.  Individuals who have worked on farm equipment are encouraged to apply.  The candidate must be mechanically inclined.  The selected candidate must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods of time, walk, bend, twist, squat, etc.  NYS Driver’s license is required; individual may need to drive in order to obtain necessary parts from retail locations.

General Laborers

Prime Materials located in Canastota is seeking full time General Laborers. Days and hours: Monday through Friday with some Saturday overtime work available. Two shifts available: First shift(Days) 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Second Shift(Afternoons) 3:30 pm to 12:00 am.

Prime Materials Recovery's primary objective is to assist the wire and cable manufacturers, utilities and dealers to maximize their resource recovery. PMR is one of the largest non-ferrous metal and polymer merchants and processors in the United States. 

Duties: Perform a variety of general labor tasks including wire sorting, plastics washing, and operating various machines used in the materials recovery process.

Minimum requirements: High school diploma or the equivalent preferred. Previous experience with machine operation in a production or manufacturing environment would be a plus. The selected candidate must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for long periods of time, walk, bend, twist, squat, etc.

Minimum requirements: The selected candidate must possess a CDL A license with five years of verifiable experience.  Candidates cannot have any serious traffic violations within the last five years or any DUI/DWI violations within ten years.  Must be able to pass a background check and drug testing.  Must be able to deliver freight to and from Canada as required.
