HVAC technician

Automatic Utilities, Inc. located in Cazenovia, NY is seeking a talented HVAC technician to challenge their HVAC knowledge by working on unique projects that require skills above and beyond everyday problems.

We are looking for hardworking, dedicated employees that can handle more than just the following tasks:  Knowledgeable regarding gas and oil fired equipment; including furnaces, boilers, roof top units and hot water units including tankless heater system.  Installation experience, proper thermostat and low voltage wiring knowledge is required.  Knowledgeable regarding proper charging techniques for HVAC systems; A/C Certified.   A/C service skills; Residential, Light Commercial, preventive maintenance knowledge, and electrical diagnostic problem solving.

Minimum requirements: Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.  Must possess a clean CDL A license.  Must possess your own service hand tools, company supplies specialty tools. Position requires employees to be on call; including weekends and nights on a rotational basis. Must be able to lift and carry heavy items. Must be willing to work overtime as needed.

Creek Flat Construction, LLC is seeking drivers to work in Wampsville, N.Y. The Driver would be responsible for hauling debris from job site to the landfill and assisting with other site work.  In addition, the candidate would occasionally haul for other stone quarries as needed.     The selected candidate would need to work from Monday-Friday; 7am-330 pm with possible overtime as needed.

Technical Manager of Sanitation

Seasonal Lifeguard

The City of Oneida is seeking a Seasonal Lifeguard. This position is an untested position in the noncompetitive class paid at $15.25 per hour for the duration of June 11th 2023 to August 2023, that may be responsible for any of the following:Has responsible charge at pool supervising designated swimming areas and monitors bathers at all times. Maintains order and enforces all rules and regulations established by the Recreation Department. Ensures that all equipment is set up prior to pool opening and taken down and put away after closing daily. Assists in the overall minor maintenance of pool area, showers, restrooms and deck areas.  Attends meeting and training sessions as scheduled. Reports promptly for work duty in proper uniform. Performs lifesaving skills and renders first aid and CPR as needed. Completes first aid and accident reports. Performs related duties as required. Reports to Pool Supervisor.

The City of Oneida is seeking Seasonal Laborers.  The laborer may assist in the maintenance or construction of roads, streets, utility and drainage systems by digging and backfilling trenches, spreading asphalt, sand, and gravel. May assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of water distribution and water supply equipment. May assist in the maintenance of the municipal swimming pool and related equipment. May assist in the maintenance or minor construction of hydraulic, mechanical, or electrical systems. May assist in preparation, laying out and maintenance of athletic fields and areas designated for landscaping, grading, reseeding, trimming, and mowing. May operate power driven tools and equipment such as saws, compressors, drills, mixers, pumps, mowers, and snow blowers. Uses hand tools such as pliers, hammers, wrenches, screw drivers, and crow bars in systems maintenance work. Uses hand tools such as shovels, scythes, forks, and rakes in grounds maintenance and

beautification work. Loads and unloads trucks, stacks materials and supplies, and delivers materials and supplies to their point of use. May act as flagman on highway jobs, directs trucks at loading and unloading sites. May assist in erecting or assembling snow fences, barricades, picnic tables, and recreation equipment. May assist in flooding and maintenance of municipal ice skating rink. Performs general clean-up work suck as removing debris, raking leaves, cutting grass and weeds, shoveling snow, and assisting in collection of rubbish and litter from public lands and facilities. May prepare surfaces for painting as well as performs painting while utilizing respiratory protection equipment. May perform duties of attendant during confined space entry operations. Mops, sweeps, and washes floors, stairs, hallways and restrooms. Dusts desks, woodwork, furniture, and other equipment. Collects and disposes of trash and garbage, empties waste baskets, and separates recyclable material.

Minimum requirements:  None are required.

This position is an untested position in the labor class paid at $17.00 per hour for the duration of May 22, 2023 to August 18, 2023.
