  • The Women’s Employment and Resource Center at 502 Court Street, Suite 234, Utica is offering their August Mental Wellness Vision Board Workshop. The workshop takes place August 1, 2024, from 9:30AM – 12:30 PM. Register today at or call (315) 724-1718 ext. 104. Set your goals for the future! 
  • Struggling to job search in the digital age? Herkimer Working Solutions is hosting free computer training and certification classes from Northstar Digital Literacy.  Learn basic computer skills, internet basics, career search skills, Microsoft Word and Excel and more. They have sessions every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month. For more information call (315) 867-1400. 
  • MV Tech Corps Training at MVCC. Get started on a career path in Mechatronics, Welding, Carpentry, Masonry, CNC Machining or HVAC. Earn a tech or trades certificate from MVCC in just eight months. MV Tech Corps provides full tuition and fees at MVCC, as well as last-dollar support for required materials expenses to eligible candidates.  Contact Rachel Maiolo at to find out more.   • Real Life Rosies Bootcamp – A great opportunity for women! Prepare for a career or Registered Apprenticeship in Advanced Manufacturing. There is no cost to participate. Transportation and childcare are available. $1000 stipend upon completion of the program.  The next training runs July 29-August 15, 2024. The program is offered by MACNY, The Manufacturers Association, Mohawk Valley Community College, and Working Solutions.
