JOB FAIRS AND RECRUITMENTS

TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES

  • Struggling to job search in the digital age? Herkimer Working Solutions is hosting free computer training and certification classes from Northstar Digital Literacy.  Learn basic computer skills, internet basics, career search skills, Microsoft Word and Excel and more. They have sessions every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month. For more information call (315) 867-1400. 
  • MV Tech Corps Training at MVCC. Get started on a career path in Mechatronics, Welding, Carpentry, Masonry, CNC Machining or HVAC. Earn a tech or trades certificate from MVCC in just eight months. MV Tech Corps provides full tuition and fees at MVCC, as well as last-dollar support for required materials expenses to eligible candidates.  Contact Rachel Maiolo at to find out more.   • The Women’s Employment and Resource Center is collaborating with Krystal Curley, Program Outreach Specialist I for the NYS Department of Civil Service for a new workshop, Demystifying Civil Service & NY State Positions.
