CEO’s WIC Vendor Management Agency (VMA) contracts with and oversees approved grocery and pharmacy store vendors that provide WIC food and formula items to their communities. The CEO WIC Vendor Management Agency serves 39 counties across eastern and central New York State via locations in Troy and Oneida, NY.
VMA’s focus is to collaborate with the vendor community to ensure WIC participants have access to WIC-approved products and that they are provided with quality services from well-trained staff.
What will you be doing?
* Provide overall support to vendors applying for and approved for participation in the New York State Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program
* Review and process vendor applications to ensure the accurate determination of vendor approval or denial within the prescribed time frames
* Conduct virtual vendor trainings in partnership with other team members and monitor vendor activities in accordance with federal and state requirements. Complete and submit reports within established time frames and travel locally with occasional long distance and overnight stays throughout contracted region(s) as required
What do you bring?
* Associate’s degree or previous experience in a related field is required
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
* Must be familiar with Apple products
* Must have a clean and valid New York State driver’s license
* Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills
* Must demonstrate the ability to think critically and adapt to a dynamic changing environment
Preferred (in addition to above):
* Previous experience training and/or public speaking
* Bi-lingual/Multilingual a plus
