Chittenango Landscape is seeking Landscape Laborers to work at their facility.  The selected candidates would work 730am-430 or 5pm, depending on the weather and workload.  Selected candidates can expect to work 40 hours per week.  The candidate would trim, edge and mulch; no mowing is required.  In addition, candidates may assist with tree work, hauling brush, etc.

The selected candidate would be required to run power tools like shears, blowers and chain saws. All training and safety equipment (PPE) is provided. 

Physical conditions: Must be able to walk, stand on your feet for long periods of time, squat, bend, etc. 

Minimum qualifications: Candidates must be able to begin their workday at the Landscaping shop.  Candidate must be 18 years and older due to running power equipment.   Must be willing to work as a team, possess good communication skills.  Prior experience preferred but not required.  Driver's License preferred.  Must have reliable transportation to get to and from the work site. 

Pay is $18.00-24.00 per hour based upon experience.

Chittenango Landscape is seeking a Hardscape Foreman.  The selected candidate would provide clerical support, assist with billing, assist with scheduling and provide exceptional customer service. Selected candidate would be responsible for supervising hardscape projects, managing crews, ensuring quality control, reading blueprints, and operating equipment. Selected candidate would positively interact with team members and customers. 

Physical conditions: Must be able to walk, squat and bend. Mobility: Ability to move around the landscape project.  Must have hand dexterity to utilize tools. Lifting: Capacity to lift and carry light to moderate loads. Vision and Hearing: Ability to read documents on a screen or paper and hear/respond to phone calls and in-person inquiries. Stamina: Capability to sit or stand for extended periods while performing tasks.

Minimum qualifications: Must be willing to work as a team, possess good communication skills.  Prior experience preferred but not required.  Certifications in construction or knowledge of irrigation systems, landscape architecture, etc. are preferred but not required.  Driver's License required; in order to pick up and transport items, drive equipment, etc.    Pay is $24.00/hr.

Chittenango Landscape is seeking an Assistant Spray Tech/ Spray Tech to assist with turf work and lawn treatments. The selected candidate would provide weed control, fertilizing treatments, other areas of concern such as insect and fungi treatments and tree and shrub care due to an issue of Ash Borer which is killing Ash trees in the Northeast.  Training, uniforms and PPE are provided. The Assistant will coordinate all book work, signage and customer paperwork at each site while working under a Spray Tech.  

Spray Tech Assistants would start at $18.00/hour.  Licensed tech would start at $20.00-$22.00 with 40+ hours a week depending on the weather.

Physical conditions: Must be able to walk, stand on your feet for long periods of time, squat, bend, etc. 

Minimum qualifications: Candidates must be able to begin their workday at the Landscaping shop. As per DEC law, an Assistant Spray Tech needs to be at least 17 years old.  Must be willing to work as a team, possess good communication skills.  Prior experience preferred but not required.  Driver's License preferred.  Must have reliable transportation to get to and from the work site.

Chittenango Landscape is seeking a part time mechanic, willing to work on small engines such as gas-powered tools, blowers, trimmers as well as heavy equipment and trucks. Tools are provided and a shop is available.  The selected candidate may also assist with finishing up body work on vehicles as needed.

Physical conditions: Must be able to walk, stand on your feet for long periods of time, squat, bend, etc. 

Minimum qualifications: Candidate must be 18 years and older due to running power equipment.   Must be willing to work as a team, possess good communication skills.  Prior experience preferred but not required.  Driver's License preferred.  Must have reliable transportation to get to and from the work site. 

Pay rate is $18-20/hour, depending on experience.
