BOCES Utica ACCESS Site is HIRING a FT year-round GED Preparation Teacher for Adults

Duties: Duties include direct instruction, testing/assessment, maintaining accurate record keeping and accountability for student achievement and retention. Seeking candidates with experience teaching or supervising adults and out-of-school youth, with the ability to work with a diverse population to deliver basic academic skill instruction as well as high school equivalency preparation; comfortable teaching adults and out-of-school youth who may have learning difficulties and/or challenging behaviors. Candidates must be self-disciplined and able to work independently.

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Education and/or Special Education; NYS Teacher Certification preferred. Those without certification must be eligible for Adult Education Certification. Teaching experience, effective verbal communication, and public relations skills a plus.
Salary: $24.00-$29.00/hour + benefits
